The Engle Class is an interesting design, based off of the framework of the NX-01 class. Tailored by Starfleet to focus on optimised warp drives, the ship may be armed to the teeth, but was reserved primarily for response and rescue missions. Vital during the Klingon war, the Engle class sped around the United Federation of Planets as a dedicated rescuer well into the late 23rd century.
