The Talarian Conflict

The Talarians feature in a single episode of Star Trek; The Next Generation, "Suddenly Human" and in it we learn that they are a belligerent alien species that has been at war with the United Federation of Planets aroudn a decade ago. This places tensions with them along side the Cardassian Border Wars, and some interesting lore bits have all come together to form a pretty consequential picture of the Talarian War, or the Galen Border Skirmish as Starfleet calls it.
